Five on Friday

1.  I just had to threaten the ole, "I'm gonna wash your mouth out with soap" deal on Memphis!  I just heard him say to Bobo, "I hate you."  I don't know where he heard it from, but I did however ask him.  His reply, "Bobo, taught me to say that."

2.  Bobo has learned where his mouth, ears, eyes and nose are at.  FINALLY!!!

3.  One day, while being very aggravated, I told Brandon that I needed a break from these kids.  Memphis looks at me with this sad puppy dog look and says, "don't break, Memmem, I'm the only one you've got."  It was so sad and cute.  It made my horrible day much better.

4.  They had their first trip to Build A Bear workshop today, together!  Memphis got a puppy dog, and Bobo got a teddy bear.

5.  Memphis has suddenly became a lover of animals.  Is he my kid?  He loves kitty kitty's and ask on a daily basis if he can have one to live at his house.  It's so sweet seeing him love animals.

I Never Knew......

.........that poop could make me so proud!  Haha!!!  But it has.  Today, my sweet little 19 month old Bobo, pooped in the potty!  It was magical.  He had taken his diaper off about 5-10 minutes before he surprised me.  I was in the bathroom brushing my teeth, and he came in there squatted down in front of the toilet and began "straining."  I knew what he was about to do.  So, I ask him if he needed to poop.  He says, "uh-huh."  I put him on the big potty and he pooped!!!!  I may have him potty trained before I do Memphis.  I just had to document this exciting day of my life.

Before, I forget.

Memphis, as we were pulling to Food Lion, says "mommy, I need to be nicer to Bobo."  Honey, I couldn't have said it better myself!

Terrific Thursday, which should be Wonderful Wednesday!

So, I didn't get to blog yesterday (Wednesday).  I am going to blog today (Thursday) all about yesterday!

First, the boys and I fought about getting ready, because Memphis doesn't want to get ready and leave this house.  We went to bank, where they racked up!  They each got a sticker, Halloween bag, and 2 silly bandz! They were thrilled.

Second stop, the mall!  They first rode the carousal ride near the food court, and then we shimmied up to the good ole Chick Fil A!  YUM!!!  We then walked around the mall and went into a few stores.  (why is when you have money you don't find anything, but boy if you're broke you find all sorts of stuff?)  I did find Memphis two shirts at Crazy8 and I just hope one of them fits on his big noggin!  Then we went back to the carousal for 3 more rides.  Upon leaving the mall we passed a train.  A motorized train that you could ride in around the mall!  It was wonderful seeing the expression on Memphis's little face when he saw that train.  We of course had to ride it.  He was so thrilled getting to ride that train around the mall.  I just love doing things for my kids to see their precious little faces get so excited.

Although, I didn't get anything I wanted to do accomplished, but it was fun day getting to see how much my boys enjoyed the carousal ride and train ride.

I love you boys!

Terribly Minded Tuesday

My mind to terrible!  I had no idea before deciding that I wanted children, that my mind would be so out of whack!  The past two months I have done the following:
-dried a load of laundry without ever starting the dryer
-washed a load of laundry minus the clothes
-wore the same dress to church, on two different occasions, to get 2 miles down the road to find out I had it on backwards!
-put the lunch meats in the freezer
-put pinto beans in the crock pot, turned the crock pot on low, and realized 5 hours later I had never plugged the crock pot up.
-I was suppose to meet my mother in law at the Lake City exit last week to give her Bobo while I took Memphis to the dr., and pasted the exit up.

I have decided that I either need a really long much needed vacation or I need to get caught up on my sleep that Bobo has deprived me of for the past 19 months!  Either way you look at it I need a break.

As for my children, the don't mind at all!

Bobo does the same things day in and day out.  He plays in the toilet, gets in trouble, he plays in the garbage, gets in trouble, and tries his hardest at trying to accomplish knocking over the television.

Memphis will politely tell me he doesn't want to mind.  At least he comes by it honest.

Sunday, at church, Memphis was standing facing the choir with his fingers in his ears, so he wouldn't have to listen to them.  Then while my dad was preaching he was trying to walk behind him.  It's getting harder and harder to take both of them to church all by myself.

All in all, my mind lose is worth all the love that I have for my children.  I know one day, my children will be well behaved citizens, and the grocery ladies at Food City, will soon forget all the boxed of Capri Suns that Bobo has busted!  :)

Moving Monday

No, we're not moving, but I thought I would title my post with the day of the week.  The only thing moving was watching Memphis open his birthday present he got from my dad yesterday.  It almost moved me to tears!  (ahhh, what the heck, it did moisten my eyes!)  He has been begging for some Slingshot shoes made by Stride Rite.  My dad ordered them for his birthday, which is about 3 weeks away, and they came in over the weekend.  My dad being impatient went ahead and gave them to Memphis.  It was truly a "kodak moment!"  Memphis's little face just lit up when my dad handed him the box.  Memphis immediately knew what was inside the box, he recognized the writing on it and started screaming, "my slingshots, my slingshots!"  He throw the lid off the box and then was ripping the paper inside the box up to get to those shoes as fast as he possibly could.  He got the shoes out and started screaming thank you poppop!  He gave my dad a big hug and kiss and put his shoes on.  He even fell asleep with them on.  It was the sweetest little thing.  It also made me realize how big  he is getting.  He's getting so smart and it's so hard to believe that he is going to be 3 in just a few weeks!  Wow!  Time really does fly when you're having fun!!!!  I love you, Memphis Carter-to the moon and back.

Firsts

There is always a first time for everything!  I would like to express my sincere thankfullness to my little Bobo!   Although, he is my second he has given me lots of "first".  When I first found out that I was expecting again, I thought, "no biggie, I can totally handle this!"  Ummmmm.............NOT!  Now that he has been around for 19 months, I have experienced lots of things that I never would have imagined.
(a little compiled list of my "first")
-He fell out of a buggy, not once but twice.  In a months time.
-He tore the hide off of his finger at WalMart in the check out line.
-He got in the bathtub and got a razor and cut the tip of his finger, and it bleed for an hour. (this happen a week after the WalMart accident happened.)
-He feel out the bed while sleeping.
-He ate some rat poisoning.  Therefore, my "first" phone call to the poison control center.
-He officially welcomed me into parenthood, by pooping in the bathtub!!!!!  I was amazed at this first.  In fact, so amazed that I decided to write this blog.  So that in 60 years from now, and he is debating on putting me a nursing home he will have to to remind him of what all he has put me throw.  Don't forget he's only been around for 19 months!

But no matter what little Bobo, I love you and I thank God for choosing me to me your mother.  You really make this household an exciting place to be!

Hot Diggity Dog!!!! Blogger just let me upload more than one picture!!!!  I'm totally stoked!!!!

Ahhhhh........I don't even know where to begin.  I am really slacking on this whole blogging business.  Well, for starters, Memphis is sick.  He told me today to call Nannie and Poppop and tell them he didn't feel bad.  He ask for medi for his medicine.  He calls his covers, cuddies.  Popcorn is popcuddy.  He puts a dy on every thing.  Bobo has had 4 ears of corn today!  I should probably go stock up on diapers.  Memphis wants to be a big banana for Halloween!  Don't know where that has came from.  Bobo is singing now.  He sings Spongebob Squarepants!  It's totally adorable.   We are working on Memphis' manners.  He's really good at saying excuse me when he burps!  We are trying to teach him to say please, when he wants something.  The other morning he woke up in a really bad mood, and was screaming at me to get him a drink.  I said, "I'm not getting you anything to drink until you use your manners."  His reply, "I'm not saying PLEASE!"  I started laughing and went and got his milk.

I'm so excited that after 19 months, Memphis has finally learned that we have to hold hands when walking from the car to the grocery store!  YAY!!!!  I'm so happy now that I don't have to chase him around the parking lots now.

Every morning Memphis has a cup of chocolate milk and Bobo has a pickle.  They really are like day and night! But I love them with all of my heart.

It's been a while!

I hadn't forgot about blogging, maybe just what I am going to blog about!  First of all, we had our computer to get another virus.  Then I have just been so busy that I forget to get on here and type out my favorite memories!!!  Memphis is going to be 3 in 36 days!!! WOW!  Were does the time go?  He talks about it all the time, and I can't wait til it gets here. (did I just say that?!)  I don't want to see him another year older, but this is the first year that he has gotten excited about his bday.  He has been talking about it for 3 months.  Last month Memphis told me that I needed to take him to the doc doc to have his baby in his belly, and after he had that baby I needed to take him to Chuck E. Cheese!  I told him if he could deliver a baby and then be able to go to Chuck E. Cheese, then he was a real trooper!!!  He finally got to go to Chuck E Cheese, and he loved it!  I loved it too.  He was so excited to get to go he couldn't hardly wait for the car to get stopped.  Well, I am running out of memory!
